Description

Telemedicine program of the Faculty of Medicine of the Universidad Nacional de Colombia, created in 2002 to bring specialized health services to remote regions (Amazonas, Vichada, Guaviare, Caquetá, Arauca, Putumayo, among others). It has served more than 30 health institutions and today operates through the Hospital Universitario Nacional (HUN Digital: teleconsultation, tele-expertise, TeleUCI Solidaria) and the program 'Conectando la salud a la región', which under Agreement 2129 of 2025 with MinSalud, UdeA and UniCartagena installs teleconsultation centers in remote municipalities such as Puerto Leguízamo (Putumayo), avoiding river journeys of 6-8 hours.
