Digital Green video-based farmer extension
Agricultural extension model in which farmers record short videos of their practices, which are then screened to village groups by local mediators.
01 The context
Born as a Microsoft Research India project (2006) and an independent NGO since 2008, it scaled to millions of smallholder farmers. Randomized evaluations showed higher adoption of sustainable practices at a fraction of the cost of conventional extension.
