Description

Citizen science network in Noord-Holland where residents measure air quality themselves with open source sensors (HoLu kit, later SODAQ AIR) and learn to interpret the data. Waag Futurelab facilitates the process; the data are open and public (own map and API via RIVM's Samen Meten). It focuses on areas with polluted air such as IJmond around Tata Steel, with communities in IJmond, Zaanstad, Gooi- en Vechtstreek and Haarlem. It includes a wood smoke pilot with TNO. About 250 sensors in four regions.
