Description
Social enterprise founded by Andrew Youn (with John Gachunga) in 2006 in Bungoma, Kenya, that offers smallholder farmers an integrated bundle: asset-based financing (inputs on credit), seed and fertilizer delivery, training and market linkages, with repayment tied to the harvest cycle. It started with 38 families in 2006; today, under the Tupande brand, it reaches more than one million farmers in Kenya and ~5.9 million households in 10 countries (2025).
