Description

A network of container-based sanitation toilets operated under a franchise model in informal settlements of Nairobi, Kisumu and Eldoret. Local entrepreneurs (Fresh Life Operators) buy and install the toilets and charge for their use; Sanergy collects the waste and, at Regen Organics, converts it into organic fertilizer and insect-based animal feed input, closing a circular economy loop. More than 6,000 toilets provide daily service to more than 250,000 people.
