Description

Municipal green infrastructure program launched in 2016 that created a network of green corridors (road axes, streams and public spaces) regreened with about 880,000 trees and 2.5 million plants by 2021. It reduced air temperature in the intervened areas (reductions of 2 to 3°C according to Ashden), restored biodiversity and prioritized vulnerable neighborhoods. Its social component trains people displaced by the conflict and from poor communities as gardeners.
