Description

Mechanism through which the residents of CDMX's territorial units decide by public consultation how to spend a percentage of each borough's budget (3% since 2010, 4% since the 2019 reform). It is organized in information, selection and evaluation assemblies, with citizen voting, administered by the IECM together with the boroughs and the Community Participation Commissions. In 2024, ~1,407 evaluation assemblies were held, covering more than 1,785 territorial units and 50 pueblos. In 2025 the cycle remained active (registration Feb-May, voting 17 Aug, assemblies Sep-Dec).
