eCHIS Kenya (electronic Community Health Information System)

National community health information system of Kenya's Ministry of Health: a smartphone app (based on Medic's open source Community Health Toolkit) with which more than 107,000 Community Health Promoters register households, manage cases and supplies, refer patients and exchange data with facilities' electronic records.

Development since 2020, pilot in Kisumu in mid-2021, scale-up to all 47 counties by mid-2024, with more than 107,000 CHPs using the platform. Part of the presidential agenda to professionalize and pay CHPs.
