Description
Biodiverse dryland farming movement led by Dalit and Indigenous women's sanghams in Zaheerabad, Telangana. Since 1983 they have recovered and grown traditional millets and dryland crops, with a Community Grain Fund, a community seed bank, community media and their own millet market. Recognized with UNDP's Equator Prize 2019 and the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation award (2020).
