Description

Social enterprise founded in 2012 in Manizales (Coffee Axis) that connects rural and low-income families with a network of 250-400 private health providers through a low-cost annual membership: discounts of up to 50-70% and faster care compared with the 2-3 months of the traditional system. Since 2015 it has worked with coffee cooperatives and reports more than 32,000 users (90% from rural communities) and 150,000 beneficiaries of social health projects (cervical cancer and HPV screening, training of youth health leaders, community telepharmacy and the Bive Previene program with a georeferenced platform for vector-borne diseases). Ongoing programs with coffee grower cooperatives (e.g. 'Mujer Bive tu salud' with the Cooperativa de Caficultores de Aguadas).
