Land van Ons

Citizen cooperative founded on 30 September 2019 by Franke Remerie and Jaap Benschop, which buys farmland with contributions from its members (from 20 EUR per square meter) to restore biodiversity and landscape.

01 The context

Members become collective co-owners; the land is leased to organic farmers who practice toxin-free cultivation, while volunteers plant hedgerows and trees. By mid-2026 it manages ~400 ha across some 30 plots, with ~31,000 members.
