Digital Green: participatory video for agricultural extension
Digital Green disseminates agricultural information to smallholder farmers in India through participatorily produced digital video: content production with local farmers, a video database, facilitator-mediated instruction and an introduction sequence for new communities.

01 The context
It relies on women's self-help groups via JEEViKA and NRLM. Since mid-2023 it evolved into Farmer.Chat, a multimodal generative AI assistant (with OpenAI and Gooey.AI); the GAIA II phase runs 2025-2027.
