Voice- and IVR-based community media platform that works without internet or a smartphone: users place a missed call and the server calls back; with the keypad they navigate, record and listen to voice messages.
01 The context
Created by Gram Vaani (founders from IIT Delhi), it gives voice to rural communities on health, labor rights, governance, agriculture and child development, with human moderation. It has served more than 3 million users in 25+ districts and 8 languages.
