Description
Tarun Bharat Sangh (TBS) revives traditional rainwater harvesting structures (johads) managed by community village assemblies in semi-arid Alwar, Rajasthan. Since its first johad in 1985, the model recharges aquifers, refills wells and has rehydrated rivers that had been dry for decades, with community rules for water and watershed use.
