Description

The ARB brings together cooperatives of informal waste pickers in Bogotá who, after two decades of litigation, managed to be recognized as providers of the public sanitation service in its recovery component and to be paid via the 'tarifa de aprovechamiento' (recovery tariff). It formalizes and integrates informal economy workers into the waste management system.
