01 The context
It translates clinical guidelines into plain language from the patient's perspective (more than 500 topics, ~1100 situations, 180 videos). Today it is a consortium of NHG, Federatie Medisch Specialisten and Patiëntenfederatie Nederland, with ~80 million visits a year, nonprofit and without pharmaceutical industry involvement. An interrupted time series study (912,000 patients) measured a 12% drop in primary care use two years after launch.
