They recover shrimp exoskeletons and heads that used to be dumped into the Pacific and transform them into 'Camharina', a protein-rich flour (washing, seven-hour dehydration at 80°C, milling and packaging; ~800 kg of shells per month). They thus close a loop on a local fishing waste stream by turning it into a marketable food, with scientific and business support from the CircularEconomy4Colombia program.● Active· scale local
