Its core is the acompañantes program, about 100 community health workers (98% women) who visit patients with chronic diseases, mental health and maternal health needs in their communities, plus programs for medical interns, surgical care and the right to health. It validated the PHQ-9 and PHQ-2 depression screenings in rural Chiapas and uses them routinely.● Active· scale subnational
