The Jikokoa uses far less charcoal than the traditional ceramic jiko. Distribution combines retail, credit sales and prices subsidized with carbon finance. An independent RCT with 1,000 households in Nairobi (Berkouwer & Dean, AER 2022) validated the efficiency and welfare gains.● Scaled· scale national
