Description

Indigenous Nahua and Tutunaku cooperative movement in the Sierra Nororiental of Puebla, active since 1977 and formalized in 1980, bringing together more than 53,000 members across dozens of municipalities in Puebla and Veracruz. It was born to address the shortage of basic foods and today sustains a comprehensive food sovereignty project: organic production of coffee, pepper and melipona honey, fair trade, cooperative savings, agroecology, intercultural education and defense of the territory.
