Its members co-designed apps for membership, savings and credit, women farmers' livelihoods and health data, with digital and financial literacy training (100,000+ members trained in Gujarat in 2022).Map KiberaParticipatory community mapping initiative that turned Kibera (one of the largest informal settlements in Nairobi) from a blank space on OpenStreetMap into a detailed, open digital map. Young residents were trained to collect geospatial data with GPS and mobile phones, edit it in OSM and produce information on schools, water, sanitation, safety, street lighting and health. It includes Voice of Kibera (SMS/Ushahidi reports) and Kibera News Network (citizen video).
